I started drawing and painting nearly every day when I was twelve years old. I did a lot of different kinds of artwork including illustration and printmaking, but in the early 1990s I began to concentrate most of my time on painting. I use a number of different mediums and explore both abstract and more realistic themes. I sometimes turn to landscape paintings as a form of recreation but, as with my other work, these are always excessively colourful and slightly whimsical.
